Explore Europe With Me

Ready to explore Europe? Currently I have posts on Denmark, Malta, Italy, Spain, and Ukraine.

I traveled to Europe for the first time when I was 19 for a study-abroad semester in Rome. Those 4 months were formational – they taught me that I loved travel, and they taught me how to travel.

In the years since I have explored more and more of Europe (mostly on my own, but occasionally with friends). I believe in quality over quantity, so I tend to return to the same countries multiple times.

This site is a way for me to share what I have learned and encourage you to embrace your traveling dreams!

Denmark

Denmark was an absolute pleasure to visit and I cannot recommend it enough. I recommend using Copenhagen as a home base and then taking day trips from there.

Malta

Malta may be the 10th smallest country in the world, but there is so much to see and do. My Malta travel guide will help you to figure out the details of your trip, from where to stay to how to get around the island(s).

Spain

Do you like hiking? Then you need to read my popular guide to the Camino de Santiago.

I hiked this amazing pilgrimage route in northern Spain a few years ago, and I have compiled all my advice into a handy guide. You can even download a packing list!

Italy

I have spent a lot of time in Italy – I studied abroad in Rome and I’m a classicist. But so far I just have one Italy-focused post on this website. It’s all about a little-known archaeological site, the painted Etruscan tombs at Etruria.

Tarquinia makes an excellent day trip from Rome, so I encourage you to check it out.

Ukraine

Sadly, Ukraine is not a safe place to travel at the moment. But I have visited friends there twice and explored Kyiv, Lviv, and the Carpathians. You can read about a moving experience that I had in Kyiv in the post below.
