Explore the American Southeast
The American Southeast is full of unique travel destinations, from natural wonders to archaeological sites to charming small towns. I grew up in Georgia and some of my favorite travel experiences have happened close to home.
Do you love finding hidden gems and secret spots? Is exploring nature high on your list? Do historical and archaeological sites give you a thrill?
Yes? Well then, you’re in the right place! You can read about all kinds of travel adventures on this website, but I tend to focus on little-known gems. Especially ones with historical significance or natural beauty.

Georgia
Travel doesn’t need to take you far from home. While I love traveling abroad (21 countries and counting!), one of my favorite things to do is explore my own backyard. And my “backyard” for most of my life has been the state of Georgia.

North & South Carolina
Cherokee, North Carolina is one of my favorite weekend getaways in the American Southeast. Visit Cherokee to learn about the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians . . . and enjoy beautiful mountain views.
If you like the beach, then consider visiting these two state parks on the South Carolina coast.
